Film music

This concert takes us on an exciting and emotional journey to the heart of the most beautiful film scores. The first part plunges us into the masterpieces of Italian cinema, with excerpts from Nino Rota’s music for Luchino Visconti’s The Leopard and Federico Fellini’s La Strada. Mozart’s sublime Adagio from the Clarinet Concerto reminds us of many films, including Sidney Pollack’s Out of Africa. At last, John Williams is paid a tribute with some of his greatest hits: The Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars with the Theme of Princess Leia and the Imperial March, Schindler’s List…
