At the end of the 90s, Madeleine Peyroux‘s irruption into the closed circle of those singers touched by grace surprised all observers. On the occasion of the reissue of her best-selling album Careless Love, which conquered audiences around the world in 2004, Madeleine Peyroux chose the Châtelet to celebrate her comeback. Imbued with blues, tinged with folk, her voice – putting one in mind of the unique sensitivity and timbre of Billie Holiday – seems to carry all the poetry, humanity and swing of jazz in its intimate and popular dimension.
