“Music can do anything, take all risks and paint anything, as long as it charms and remains music at last and always.”
Maurice Ravel, “Esquisse autobiographique”, La Revue musicale, December 1938
Immersive show
From an intimate, hypnotic Ravel to a collective trance
Les Apaches affirm their desire to surprise and amaze audiences with musical creation in all its forms. To celebrate Maurice Ravel’s birthday, Les Apaches organize a Rave-L Party, gradually transforming the concert hall into a vast industrial complex and then into an electro club. Far from the black-and-white clichés that depict a classic-looking Ravel in a suit and jacket, it’s the apache Ravel, innovative and eternally young, that we’re celebrating. The man who respected no limits, exploring all styles to create new music, and who continues to inspire all musical spheres today.
From the rediscovery of a jazz Bolero from 1929 to the creation of a techno Bolero and a Suite-Remix of dances from L’Enfant et les sortilèges, Les Apaches dare to do EVERYTHING.
Concert duration 1h15, followed by a 25-minute intermission and a 45-minute Live Electro.
