Sunday morning concerts

Conceived as an alternative to traditional concert outings — usually scheduled in the evening or occasionally in the afternoon, but never before three o’clock — the Sunday Morning Concerts offer an offbeat format designed for the whole family. In keeping with the “Châtelet spirit”, with its demanding, eclectic and popular programming, these events are built around a simple, accessible format: one hour of music, without an interval.

For this inaugural season of the Sunday Morning Concerts at the Théâtre du Châtelet, pianist Shani Diluka presents an original programme, marked by the interplay between music, literature and poetry. Leading musicians and performers engage in dialogue with writers, actors and scholars from the worlds of cinema, literature, philosophy and poetry.

Rooted in the major issues of our time, the programme devised and developed by Shani Diluka firmly places music at the heart of the dialogue between the arts and society, offering a concert experience that is at once sensitive, informed and illuminating. The Sunday Morning Concerts are also the perfect opportunity for everyone — from the youngest to the oldest, with family or friends — to rediscover the pleasure of a theatre outing, within the historic setting of a tradition that has captivated audiences of all ages for over half a century!
