With the music of Bedřich Smetana, Edvard Grieg and Joaquín Turina, the Modigliani Quartet unveils a rich palette of colours — at once intense and contrasting — that reflects the spirit of European Romanticism. Passionate outbursts, lyrical surges and picturesque evocations come together in a contemplative celebration of the beauty of nature and the soul.
In harmony, actor Denis Podalydès of the Comédie-Française brings to life the great poetic voices of the nineteenth century, from Gérard de Nerval to Alphonse de Lamartine, opening the imagination to the grandeur of Romantic landscapes.
