Biography
Merry has worked extensively as a dancer in the U.K. and internationally with leading opera companies in productions including: Orphee aux enfers (Salzburger Festspiele); Candide (Opera National de Lorraine); Medea; Parsifal; Turandot (ENO / London Coliseum); Robert le diable; Onegin; Carmen (Royal Opera House) The Fairy Queen; Vanessa, Saul (Glyndebourne Festival and Tour). In 2015 Merry became Revival Choreographer for Saul in the Glyndebourne tour, and has since remounted the choreography in Australia as part of the Adelaide Festival, in 2018 for the summer festival at Glyndebourne Festival Opera and most recently in North America at Houston Grand Opera.
Her live music and performance history includes: Stunning (Windmill Theatre London); The Merchant of Venice (Almeida Theatre); Betrayal (I Fagiolini / London & UK Tour); Whiteout (Barrowland Ballet / Edinburgh Fringe Festival) Nutcracker! (New Adventures / Sadler’s Wells & U.K. tour) Pet Shop Boys Hogmanay New Year’s Eve Concert (Edinburgh Castle); Museum of the Future (Icon Dance / British Museum); Plunge (NDCWales); Interwoven (LamatDance / Spain & Bulgaria).
For two years, Merry was also one of the two dancers for Electric, the Pet Shop Boys World Tour.
She has extensive film and music video experience; some credits include: Elemental (Newport Festival); E.N.D. (The Magic Numbers); Thursday (Pet Shop Boys); Lordly (Feder); Gola (The Line).
Her recent commercial work includes, Range Rover (The Hunt); Level Air (Film)
