In order to get back to theatres with peace of mind, we are opening the Theatre to you during the week end ! We look forward to seeing many of you there and to talking with you. Our staff will take this opportunity to share the tricks of their trade.
Don’t miss the big costume sale and the Châtelet Musical Club concerts.

In accordance with the law, access to the Theatre is on presentation of a health pass.
An information and sales desk will be open in the Theatre lobby on Saturday from 10am to 4pm and on Sunday from 10am to 7pm.
As the number of places for the visits and workshops is very limited, please inform us of any cancellations by email at relations-publiques@chatelet.com or by telephone on 01 40 28 28 40.

Saturday 18th September

  • Open house and costume exhibition in the public areas of the Theatre from 10am to 4pm (no booking needed)
  • Musical Comedy Workshops in the Foyer Nijinski at 11am and 2.30pm
    Discover the art of musical comedy with your family. Participants will experience a musical comedy artist guided by a choir director and choreographer on one of the most emblematic songs of the repertoire.
    Recommended for ages 7 and up

  • Guided tours of the Theatre at 12 noon
    This tour takes place in groups of 20 people maximum, with a lecturer specialised in art history.

Sunday 19th September

  • Free visit and costume exhibition in the public areas of the Theatre from 10am to 7pm (no booking needed)
  • Costume sale in the Grand Foyer from 10am to 7pm
    The Theatre opens its trunks and its wardrobe and offers for sale a part of the costumes of its former productions. A wide choice of about 2,000 pieces will be on offer in a price range from €1 to €200. You will find period and contemporary costumes, made for productions such as Kiss me Kate, The King and I, Orlando Paladino, The Sound of Music, Nixon in China and My Fair Lady.
  • Lighting and sound demonstrations in the Great Hall throughout the day
  • Musical Comedy Workshops in the Nijinsky Foyer at 11am, 2.30pm and 4pm
    Discover the art of musical theatre with your family. Participants will experience a musical theatre performer guided by a choir director and choreographer on one of the iconic songs of the repertoire.

  • Guided tours every hour from 10am to 5pm
    This tour takes place in groups of 20 people maximum, with a lecturer specialising in art history.

  • Presentation of the trades (models, set design workshops)
  • Presentation of the sound and lighting control room by a technician. Access by groups of 10 people at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 5pm.
  • Visit of the technical workshops in the presence of Châtelet technical staff from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 7pm (departure every 30 minutes)
    Costume workshop, dressing room (with all the costumes of the main role of Singin’ in the Rain on mannequins), make-up room, props workshop (presentation of the making of the props of Intérieur en construction, and of a scene from Singin’ in the Rain).

  • Châtelet a sa place
    Châtelet Musical Club (at 2pm): young musical talents give their voices. From operetta to Broadway classics and contemporary French creation, a best of musical theatre to start the new season!
