L.A. Dance Project – Programme 2

For this second program, three American choreographers are honoured. Bobbi Jene Smith, who trained at the Batsheva, and her partner Or Schraiber create pieces in which the humanity of the dancers is central. Pam Tanowitz summons the tutelary figures of Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham and Jerome Robbins, playing with elusive memories in a unique style. Ballet dancer turned visual artist Madeline Hollander examines the abstract patterns that govern our daily lives and transcribes them into her choreography.
